Ingredient information –beta-carotene
Beta-carotene is a polyphenol in the carotenoid family. It is found in some fruit and vegetables in particular carrots, apricots, pumpkin and some edible algae. Beta-carotene plays a protective role in relation to the damage caused by the sun. Beta-carotene is a natural pigment that gives the orange colour to carrots and algae. It is one of the precursors for vitamin A, the most usual one in the human diet.
Vitamin E : a major antioxidant! Vitamin E delays cell ageing countering the formation of free radicals. Its action is increased when associated with beta-carotene and provides better protection against the sun’s rays.
